Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines acceptable and unacceptable uses of Compyute's services. This AUP is incorporated by reference into Compyute's Terms of Service. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use Compyute's services to engage in, foster, or promote illegal, abusive, or irresponsible behavior, including:
- Unauthorized Access: Accessing or using any system without permission, including attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of a system or to breach any security or authentication measures used by a system.
- Interference: Interfering with service to any user, host, or network including, without limitation, mail bombing, flooding, deliberate attempts to overload a system, and broadcast attacks.
- Falsification of Origin: Forging of any TCP-IP packet header, email header, or any part of a message header.
- Malware Distribution: Distributing viruses, worms, trojan horses, or other destructive activities.
3. Network Abuse
Compyute's network must be used responsibly. We strictly prohibit the following network abuses:
- Spamming: Sending unsolicited bulk and/or commercial messages over the Internet (known as "spamming").
- Open Relays/Proxies: Maintaining an open mail relay or an open proxy.
- DDoS Attacks: Initiating or participating in Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. Note: while we provide DDoS protection to shield your servers, you must not use your servers to attack others.
- Port Scanning: Unauthorized port scanning or vulnerability scanning.
4. Content Restrictions
You are solely responsible for the content you host or distribute using Compyute's services. We prohibit hosting or distributing content that:
- Infringes on any intellectual property rights (e.g., copyright, trademark, patent).
- Is defamatory, obscene, unlawful, or promotes illegal activities.
- Constitutes child exploitation material. Any such material will be immediately removed and reported to the relevant authorities.
- Promotes violence or incites hatred against any group or individual.
5. Enforcement
Compyute reserves the right, but does not assume the obligation, to monitor usage of the services to determine compliance with this AUP. If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take any of the following actions, depending on the severity of the violation:
- Issue a warning.
- Suspend your access to the services.
- Terminate your account without refund.
- Report the violation to law enforcement agencies if necessary.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us immediately by emailing abuse@compyute.com.
